hello all, first of all thx 4 nice ROM, I'm currently on night v5 and everything works asi expected ;-)
just one question
because I had a bad experience with clockwork, then I prefer RA now. well, my question is - I have to wipe everything for any new nightlies ... and start from scratch? or just flash?
thx

I'd expect you'd be able to update the nightlies straight over the Beta version.

My only problem with this is that everytime I flash, I have to manually remove and re-apply LauncherPro everytime :(

anyone having trouble registering for CyanogenMod Update Notifications?

Am getting an error saying I need a Rom Manager Premium Licence. (Yes I do have the Premium version)
it worked fine on beta3 and let me register, but no joy so far on the nightlies..

Reported to lox this morning who in turn tweeted koush. Not seen a response from koush.

E; my premium license is working. I can download build 5 manually from download rom, but no auto notify. Didn't see the option to maunally d/l so I'm not too fussed about the lack of notification now..

I second @RatTSnake's question: Do I have to wipe for every new nightly, or would it be sufficient to flash over the old one?

And, is there a changelog available for the nightlies?

No,  you can just flash over the top. If you use apps2sd then you will not have to re-install launcher pro.

Which script/zip/app is best for apps2sd? The built-in android feature? Something that use the ext partition on the sd?

The next nightly will have the latest flykernel.

I'd like to take my credit for the USB fix and I'd like to see other devs' credits as well, mainly the guy who fixed the camera. As a whole, you only mentioned Erasmux for his kernel, but it is really too well-known to miss it out. This rom is a community effort, after all...

Didn't really do anything. Just enabled it on build 4 and had a nice notification this morning. Don't use clockwork mod recovery tho, and wifi is painfully slow so I'm probably gonna disable it as it doesn't really give me anything. I'll quite happilly check manually.

Sorry bro. You credit is intact in the commit logs here: https://github.com/C...its/gingerbread and here http://twitter.com/#!/cmsrc along with the huge amount of contributors to CM.

Steelbytes has been specially credited in the first post of the beta thread here http://goo.gl/JkhMr and in the commit http://goo.gl/6LcRn and as soon as the beta rom with fixed camera was out!

That is what is great about Github, all credits are kept intact.

Things are getting too complicated around Hero development. I do not even do this for me! I don't own a hero!
I just try to do my task at CM: make it run on hero.

So now, I'll be SOOO happy to see an other dev owning a hero do that task.

Thanks.

Just to say thanks for all the time and effort you put in on this Lox, hopefully another dev will step upto the plate and carry this forward.

Cheers man.

I get a bootloop on Nightly#6 (flahsed on top of #5) + darktremor (apps + dalvik to sd and zipalign).

Is there any way I can fix this without wiping everything?

edit: I wiped dalvik and cache partition, and it booted normally

I installed nigthly build 5 yesterday evening, and everything works increadably good. Smooth and fast, no fc-ing, works nice for everyday use. Wonderful rom Lox, elemag, Steelbytes and all the other devs!

Cheers,
Henrik

For me build 6 flashed and booted without issue. Flashed ROM, Gapps, and DT apps2sd. Haven't performed a wipe other than dalvik cache since the pre-alpha.

I did see that the tilt options in google maps are not working.

I don't know when it was changed. ( checked and at nightly 6 it was changed )

if you open system/build.prop and change this line

ro.opengles.version= 65537 to this 165537 it's is working again.
