Really? It's been solid for me. In fact I just used it without issue.

all my mp3s in /sdcard/media/audio/[notifications/ringtones]/ (i dont have my phone on me so i dont remember the EXACT location) used to work for custom ringtones... they're not showing up as options in nightly 256 anymore (had been using 7.1 stable on this phone previously).

I'll go through and do the normal cache clearing and what not, just thought that it's odd that this was the first flash ive had where the custom ringtones go out.

Well I had issues with 256 and my wireless. It worked some of the time but mostly not. I have the latest radios and WiMax installed. I went down to 255 and all issues were solved, 255 will be my daily driver for  while. Exceptional battery life. Went to bed at 54% woke up at 47%. Ill keep the stock Kernal for a while.

Looks like no phone has had an update in the past two weeks!  That is other then the ICS build!  The next release is going to be as big as 255.  There is a ton that has already been changed.  Not sure why they aren't releasing nighties anymore.

Tried 256, 255, now 253. With all three of them I'm getting really frequent "Google Services Framework" force close messages. Despite that, the phone seems to run stably.

Which framework did you flash?  and what are you using to flash it?

I flashed the CM7 nightlies and gapps, nothing else. Running on an htc Evo 4G with first Amon_RA and now Clockwork recovery.
But all this was obvious from my previous post, so I guess I'm not answering the right question.

<Dirkh>
How close is your datadata to being full?
<open the terminal app on your phone and run the df command>
http://forum.cyanoge...partition-size/

I was having this problem on several versions of CM7 and MIUI (not using anymore, something about MIUI rubs me the wrong way! ), I ran the df command and datadata was at 97% of capacity.  Started deleting apps so that I could move apps to SD card.  Phone runs much better now.

Do you have rom manager?  Try flashing the 2.3.5 version instead of the one included.  the gapps in it has been stable for me for many nightlies now :)

Yeah I am running it with a Savage kernel 2.2.1 CFS HAVS, also using ViperMod along with V6 Supercharger. Also running lastest CM nightly, battery life is around 40 hours.

Wow. Okay. I'm going to try and figure it out. The V6 xda page was kind of long and meandering. Going to google steps for the evo to get it running. Thanks.

Okay i got v6 installed. What memory settings did you use and did you undervolt or overvolt with viper mid and by how much? Thanks. I would love 40 hrs battery life.

I under volted by 25 and have left it that way for the last week to see how it worked out. So far I see no reason to change it.Choose Option 2 for lowering all voltages, then choose option 1.
One time I did it by 100 and my phone got flaky. I also did it by 50 once and it seemed ok as well.
For V6 I used the balanced setting for our memory range of 512.Specifically it is option 6, which makes my settings 6,12,55,70,85,100, don't ask me what that means because I am not that smart...LOL.
I also made the Launcher bullet proof (Die Hard) using V6. This is Option 12.

Again...dont forget I did what I did using the kernel I specified in my earlier post. Not sure what you are running for a kernel.

This was me last week.

I ended up flashing MIUI to poke arouind since CM was slacking, and I ended up keeping it. I love MIUI now. It has slightly less settings than CM7, but the minimalistic and simple style won me over (not to mention the insane ammount of theming you can do). However, in a lot of areas, MIUI outshines CM7.
