I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the supporters over these few months. I had enjoyed every moment and learnt quite a fair bit.

I'm preparing for my next stage in work life starting 1 March 2012. I have no confident on managing both work place and this and as such I chosen work as my priority. I am still around but will not be so lively as compared to last few months. As for CM9 KANG, I will keep it in mind.............

Wow didn't expect official cm7 nightly to drop. Probably the donations to cm far exceeds the required. Nonetheless its great news.

Fyi I just compiled my 1st CM9 for my main device O2x. What a good feeling......

How does it run?  I know there's a lot of people anxious for CM9 on the N1, but I'm far from convinced that it'd be an improvement over CM7, even if it did get released.

Anyone having trouble with the rotate sensor? After unlock and rotate to left screen is upside down. 2-26 nightly

Thanks for the imput. Only happened a few times. A couple of reboots later and I haven't seen it again.

Bluetooth's driving me crazy though.  About 50% of the time when I disconnect from the car or headphones, it causes a freeze/reboot.  It's been that way for months now.

I only use bluetooth with headphones but I have never had that issue.

Seems that my N1 just died on me. Black screen, no boot at all.
Charge LED quickly alternating between green and amber, but only when plugged in without battery.

Time to give HTC a call...

Turns out the battery seems to have died or somehow got screwed up.
After keeping the phone off for a while, it came back up on power, and is now slowly charging. Battery is now at 0%, although before the phone died, the battery was at 80+%.
Weird stuff. I got an RMA from HTC, but I'll just try a new battery first.

The day has finally arrived to retire my N1.  This is easily the phone I've been most attached to, and in some respects it's better than the Sensation I bought yesterday (I'll miss the trackball and the dock), but it's evident that the hardware is not going to run 4.0 the way it should, and the Sensation deal was too good to pass up.  I decided on the Sensation because the HTC One X, after waiting months for it to appear, is not the device for me (battery, sd card/cloud, no AWS).  For anyone else thinking of making the switch, the Sensation is fast, VERY fast, and I haven't installed an overclocking kernel yet (Quadrant shows it as out-performing the GN by about 30%).  The screen is a big step up, it's bigger, brighter, clearer and more touch-sensitive.  Battery life looks as if it's going to be worse than the N1.  It's also flimsier than the N1, and, of course, there's the known issues with signal because the antennas are in the back cover.  Rooting it is easy, and CM7 seems to run very nicely on it.

The N1 now goes to the old ball & chain.  A situation I'm not entirely happy with.  And so long as Temasek keeps up his sterling work, I'll continue to update the rom.
