Battery life for me in the recent nightlies sucks. I've gone back to the 7.1 stable build and battery life is much improved again. Is anybody experiencing the same or is it my imagination?

Same here!
1 hour call will use up 50% of the battery!!!!
It's f'ing ridiculous.

I was having battery problems, and traced it to a theme I had downloaded for Launcher Pro. Since deleting the theme my battery life has been outstanding, even with the latest nightly.

No themes, so that can't be the problem.
Went back to 7.1 (and also installed intersectRaven's kernel) => 32% battery usage per hour of calling.
Still horrendous if you ask me, but much better than the latest CM7 nightly.

Looks interesting. How is it on audio level? I have been considering switching from stock to one of Wildmonk's audio boost kernels because of low volume. So if it is about the same as stock, it probably won't make a difference on mine.

If you're having outstanding battery life in the latest nightly,  there's probably something in my phone that does not agree with the latest nightly. Will flash it again and try to find out what's in conflict   before I start experimenting with modified CM kernels.

Did you have issues with the battery life of the latest nightlies before you used this modified kernel?

Hello all,

Since the CM 7.1 and until today (I have just tested the nightly 253) the widget renderFX red (night) does not put the screen red but salmon!, the other options seems to work fine (green console, blue, salmon and calibrated).

Is this a bug? I am the only one with this problem? I used to use a lot the night mode at night...

Not really, battery life was good using CM7 stock kernel but this just made it a little better IMO.

Thanks. Now that I've reflashed 253, it seems that battery life is back to Normal. I can only guess that the reason for the improvement is either there was a conflict with v6 Supercharger which was addressed when I updated to the latest beta or becasue  I wiped Dalvik cache when I updated to the latest v6 Supercharger beta. Whichever the reason, I'm just glad battery life is back to Normal.

I have frequent FCs of the Google Services Framework (com.google.process.gapps) with #253. I am using the latest inofficial gapps from Temasek's Mediafire folder (gapps-gb-20111119).
I tried clearing the cache and dalvik cache. Didn't help any.
Anybody else having this problem?

I don't think it is all that complicated. Haven't done it myself yet, though, since at this point, I wouldn't want to use my daily phone for experiments...

how stable is it though? I would use it as a daily driver if I could still run my email, internet, alarms...the essential stuff.

It is 100% stable for me

very easy with splhexeditor to repartition to any sizes you want before flashing new rom or nandroid. for nandroid probably better to resize back to those same numbers that you used to bu with

Doesn't seem to change much, either.
I have had the fc less with my recent KANG builds.
