Given the recent explosion of nightly users, I understand your need for a place to discuss them, and/or ask if other users are having similar issues as you...this is that place

1) DO NOT: Post to the bug tracker
2) DO NOT: Open another thread (I will enforce this with temp bans)
3) DO NOT: Think of this as official forum support; this thread will be strictly user to user support. Don't expect CM-dev help.

** These CyanogenMod builds are highly experimental and unsupported.
**
** Please refrain from submitting bug reports for any issues
** you may encounter while running one of these builds.
**
** Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
** cause of male impotence.

Yes, this will work on the G2 AND DesireZ

Followed the instructions to the letter. When I go to flash the modified gapps, Clockwork Recovery either gives me an error or it seems to install way too quickly (read: didn't install at all). Tried zipping the file through OS X or tar (using a terminal).

Anyone else get this to work?

I was actually just going to post about this.

I extracted the system folder from the Gapps and put in the root of my c: drive and:

adb push c:\system /system

FYI - the .com and 'question mark' keys don't work, but I saw another commit regarding this bug and it looks like it will be fixed in the next nightly. Everything else seems to work perfect including the trackball wake :)

Thanks Cyanogen and Team!

I just did a drag-and-drop inside WinRAR to modify the GAPPS package. Seemed to flash without a problem.

Flashed CM and GAPPS.  But phone got stuck in a boot loop.  Anyone with this problem?

No, it worked fine for me. I can report that my .com and ? keys also do not work.

Before flashing, I did a "fastboot erase system -w" and a "wipe data/factory reset" afterwards. Maybe wiping twice is overkill, but I like to be sure.

Edit:

Pulls 1610 in Quadrant at stock speeds, and about 30MFLOPS in Linpack. Decent. Also, I haven't noticed any bugs to speak of. I know the .com/www. and ? keys don't function, but I saw that commit, so I can wait an evening. This is pretty fantastic work.

CM flashed fine, but GAPPS isn't working... unzipped replaced the file and rezipped... When I try to flash it, it goes pretty fast (probably 1 second) Any ideas?

I also re-downloaded and re-did it again... just in case.

Thanks!

I made this myself and it seems to work, give it a shot.

So I fear I may have bricked my phone  :(
I rooted, even flashed Baconbits 0.3. Everything was working fine until I flashed the nightly. Now it's stuck at the HTC screen no matter what I  do.
HELP!!!

Did you do a wipe before you installed the new rom?

Are you able to boot into clockwork recovery if you hold the volume down key + power button and select recovery from the bootloader?

Thanks for such a quick response. I wiped, yes. I can boot into recovery. I originally tried flashing version 10. That didn't work. I just tried version 12 and it didn't work either.

Nightly 12 is awesome but with one problem I discovered right away. This differs from nightly 10...

Metamorph no longer works.  I've un/reinstalled app and redownloaded my morphs but to no avail...
